There's this guy...a German foreign exchange student....?

There is this guy at my school. He's a foreign exchange student from Germany. He's a nice guy, has brown hair, brown eyes, and according to my choir teacher, he sings extremely well. (I have not yet heard him.) He also is in my French class. I am infatuated with him because of the above description. Should I ask him to Homecoming?

Sure why not.There is no harm in that.

Summer Foreign Exchange student- earning money?

I am an Honors student in eighth grade. I recently was given a packet from the local Foreign exchange student department. I looked through the packet seeing which countries i was interested in. My parents looked at the description and agreed that it would be an amazing experience. But i didn't show them the price. My family is middle class, and three of my siblings are off in college. I would LOVE to do this while I'm still young, but i don't know how to pay for it.

I am only fourteen and you have to be fifteen to get a job. I don't want my parents to have to drive me because that would defeat the purpose of getting a profit. I know that i am of age to work at a farm, (does it include horse barns?) and i am with in walking distance of the village. Is it legal to wipe down tables for 50 cents a table? I really need ideas! This means A LOT to me.

It shouldn't be that expensive to just do a summer exchange (depending on the amount of time). If you're living with a family, you normally only have to pay a very small amount for your meals and lodging. You may not even have to pay for housing if it's a true exchange and your family takes in someone in return. If the program is asking for a large amount of money, you may want to look into some other exchange programs.

As for finding a job at 14, I don't have any advice there. I had an extremely hard time finding a job, and I'm in my 20's with a college degree and a lot of experience. Maybe you'll have an easier time finding one than some of the rest of us are having.

What experience does this job description want? Financial Services Company?

I am applying for a job for a Financial Services company. I don't really understand what the job description mean, what kind of experience they want, can someone please tell me what this description means?

- Review projected cash position of managed portfolios and calculate the amount to be transferred between accounts, placed for time deposits or arranged to have Foreign Exchange;

- Prepare and send cash instructions to bank;

- Monitor settlement status of cash activities;

- Liaise with banks in cash settlement issues;

- Record transactions into investment system (Portia);

- Interact and support Fund Managers/Central Dealer/Regional offices for cash activities.

What kind of cash management/activities experience do they want?

Frankly, if you don't understand the job description, this job is not for you. It won't make sense to apply to it. Very often employers write ads with jargon that only people in their business know. If you don't know it, that means you are not the person they look for. This ad doesn't consist any jargon, but if you know what fund managers and central dealers do, you would know their requirement. However it will take time to explain the whole process.

What do I include in a description of myself in order for my teacher to write a letter of recommendation?

Writing down my activities and interests is very broad. Do I include personal things such as family life? My history, important things in my life? Or is it mainly just trying to make me look good, for example grades, strengths, and how I participate in that certain teacher's class?
It is a letter of recommendation for becoming a foreign exchange student, not a college application. It is an open letter.
Would you give me a list of things that I could write down, and then i can find the ones that apply to me?
Sorry, I know this question is confusing...but any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

A letter of recommendation weighs the same as a butterfly sneeze.

It introduces you and that's that.

What do you think of my description?

Two of my class’s newest students are foreign exchange students from Japan. They were both albino, a male and a female. the female, named Grace was incredibly creative, she would fit right in with the popular crowd if she wasn’t so kind and understanding, she was my friend, not a very close friend but a friend, she took peel on stickers and liked to put them under her eyes and on her temples; She tried once to convince me to take up the trend but I less than timidly refused. Her twin brother, named Christian, shared her creativity in fashion, he died layers of his hair and eyebrows different natural colors, he wove grass around his fingers, he ripped his clothes so different pieces of his skin were visible, he cut tops and halves off of shirts and pants and had them sewed together, he also loved to mix bright colors and dark colors, he hid his left eye with longest locks of his hair leaving his right eye visible which he actually got dyed crayon red.
